An album, 19th century
With twenty illustrations in ink on leaves depicting lohans, variously amongst clouds and waves, seated in rocky landscapes amongst pine and bamboo and with mythical beasts, mounted on blue wash paper, each with a facing inscription in gilt, the rear of the album with fourteen pages of text in gilt on blue wash paper, silk brocade cover and fitted wood box -- the album 10¾in. x 7½in. (27.2cm x 19cm).
