A large enamelled porcelain snuff bottle, Jiaqing
Decorated on each side with two horses, one standing and one recumbent, in a landscape, iron-red three character mark -- 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) high, stopper.

Lot Essay
The mark reads Le Gu Tang zhi (Hall of Rejoicing in Antiquities), and was used during the Jiaqing period; see G. Davison, The Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics, 1994, pp. 70 and 173.
