A small celadon-glazed bowl, 18th century
With flaring rim covered in iron-brown, the interior, exterior and base of the bowl under an even pale celadon glaze, the base with an underglaze blue hall mark Jing wei tang zhi (Hall of Respectful Awe) -- 3 3/8 in. (8.5 cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

The hall mark on this bowl represents an Imperial Palace location mark used during the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods. See G. Davison, The Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics, 1994, no. 659, pp. 72 and 173.
