Pierre Molinier, lui-même. Essay über den surrealistischen Hermaphroditen. Munich: Rogner & Bernhard, 1972. 8° (240 x 172mm). Small original photograph laid-in (130 x 24mm), with pencilled inscription on verso. Original black cloth, spine and front cover blind-stamped (edges sunned, extremities lightly rubbed, one corner bumped). Provenance: J.M. Lo Duca (gift inscription from Molinier).
FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY MOLINIER TO THE AUTHOR J.M. LO DUCA, WITH A RARE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT OF HIS MUSE EMMANUELLE ARSAN LAID-IN. Only a very few photographs of Arsan, author of Emmanuelle and Anti-Vierge are known to exist, all apparently shot during a single sitting ca. 1967. The image is a tightly cropped version of that reproduced in Molinier. Une rétrospective (Paris: Mennour, 2000; p.34). EMMANUELLE WAS MOLINIER'S BIBLE AND JOY (Lo Duca, quoted in Molinier.
