Provenance: gift inscription from Strömholm.
FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY STRöMHOLM. 'ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EUROPEAN PHOTOBOOKS OF THE 1960s' (The Photobook). Strömholm won the 1997 Hasselblad prize for his contribution to photography. The Open Book, pp.232-33; The Photobook, p.251 (his 'manifesto. In this book he shows himself to be as romantic as either Robert Frank or Ed van der Elsken').
