A CIGARETTE BOX BY J. E. CALDWELL & CO. AND TWO JADEITE PENDANTS
The silver gilt cigarette box of rectangular form, lid set with a mottled green jadeite plaque of good semi-translucent material with bevelled edges, the hinges and sides engraved with foliate motifs, to the light green jadeite clasp, plaque approximately 85.63 x 56.03 mm; one pendant carved with lotus leaves and flowers of semi-translucent light apple green material with bright green splashes, to the oval-shaped tourmaline spacer and carved wooden boule top, suspended from a grey cord, approximately 50.54 x 32.50 x 5.95 mm; the other pendant of translucent light green material with intense green patches, well carved as a squirrel clinging to the grapes and leaf with a leaf-shaped gold surmount, approximately 57.49 x 23.17 x 7.64 mm
