A COLOURED DIAMOND RING
Set with a cut-cornered rectangular-cut fancy dark grey green diamond weighing 8.04 carats within the brilliant-cut light pink diamond surround and gallery to the brilliant-cut light pink diamond shoulders, mounted in 18k pink gold, ring size 5½
With report no. 13165757 dated 17 February 2004 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the diamond is fancy dark grey-green, natural colour, VS1 clarity; with additional comments stating that the colour of this stone changes temporarily when gently heated, or when left in darkness for a period of time and is known in the trade as "Chameleon"
With report no. 0601079 dated 2 February 2006 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the diamond is fancy greyish yellowish green, VS1 clarity; with additional comments stating that the colour of this diamond changes to fancy yellow when it is heated or left in the darkness for a period of time and is known in the trade as "Chameleon". Also accompanied by a note stating that the 8.04 carat diamond is classified as a type Ia.
