This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe presentation box, Certificate of Origin dated 15 April 1958 and an Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch in 1957 and its subsequent sale on 6 March 1958.

Reference 2526, introduced in 1953, was Patek Philippe's first model featuring a self-winding movement, the legendary calibre 12-600 AT. With its attractive combination of a state of the art movement and traditional enamel dial, it is considered a very desirable collector's watch.

Other examples of this model are illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 1st edition pp. 168-169, 2nd edition p. 213, 216-217.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered at auction before.
