Each of shield shape, the waisted neck richly gilt with patterned foliate designs, flanked by two upright scroll handles with satyr mask terminals, finely painted with a wooded landscape, named on the underside either 'In Germany' or 'On the River Derwent', within a gilt octagonal surround and further scrolling foliage, on a conforming socle and square base gilt with Vitruvian scroll
