A VIENNA GOLD-GROUND KRATER VASE
Circa 1834, impressed Bindenshield mark, 25 and date cipher 834 for 1834
The everted mouth gilt and knop of the socle gilt and chased with leaf tips, the cylindrical neck continuously painted with flowers including roses, peonies, harebells, orchids and tulips, the lower edge chased as a loosely woven basket, burnished gold bracket handles at the shoulder, the hemispheric lower portion of the vase burnished gold and chased with entwined ribbons centering flowerheads, the same decoration also on the circular foot, raised on a further square base
12 3/8 in. (31.4 cm.) high
