POSSIBLY GERMAN, CIRCA 1720, PARTIALLY REMOUNTED AND WITH REPLACEMENTS TO MARQUETRY
Of square and slightly incurved form, the top inlaid with star-form strapwork filled with flowerheads, the frieze with scrolling foliate strapwork and centered to each side by an ormolu flowerhead, the corners with lions' masks, above a guilloche-inlaid edge, on lion paw feet, border marquetry probably replaced
