SIGNED 'FESTEAU A PARIS', LATE 18TH CENTURY
In two-tone gilding, with a pair of columnar supports surmounted by an oval superstructure hung with floral garlands and with foliate supports for the enameled Roman hours and Arabic chapters with rotating rings, the movement with twin spring barrels, anchor escapement and strike on a bell, surmounted by a domed removeable lid with a finial in the form of cupid with an arrow, on an oval stepped base with pearled rims, centrally mounted with a pair of love birds, on toupie feet, the dial signed 'FESTEAU A PARIS', the love bird mount probably a later replacement
19 in. (48 cm.) high, 9½ in. (24 cm.) wide
