This window is similar in pattern to a bay window in the home of Joseph Briggs, long time employee, and after 1920, head of Tiffany Studios. The Briggs window, sold at Sotheby's, New York, 4 December 1999, lot 383, incorporated both trumpet creeper and clematis vines. This window depicts exclusively the orange trumpet creeper, set on a similar dark blue background fading to clear.
