Stele from "Salome" series

Rachid Koraichi expresses himself artistically through several media, just as he writes in several languages. His ceramic works stand like characters in his narrative, displaying the symbols of his mysterious alphabet, reaching upwards.
These steles were part of the Salome series installation which was shown at the Institut du Monde Arabe. Mounted on plinths, acting as the solid, grounded counterparts of the diaphanous textiles suspended from the ceiling.
