A barrel organ with monkey automaton
The 17-key organ playing six airs, with crank-wind at the front, in inlaid rosewood case with seated monkey figure on top in the style of Phalibois, with papier-mache head and wood hands, dressed in 18th century style clothes, playing a viola and reading from sheet music, with cam and rod-action movement from the top crank inside, moving eyes, hands, head and upper body, fixed instrument case and hat by automaton side, organ circa 1880, (monkey and some organ reeds restored) -16 1/8in.
