"from bottles that were purchased on release and stored impeccably). Very deep golden yellow. The nose evidences the barest traces of oxidation and the color suggests that a full blown collapse will not be far behind. While there is good richness and complexity, with air the oxidation comes up and while the wine is drinkable, it's clearly not what it should be. The oxidation problem has become worse with age and I would suggest drinking up immediately. Note: unlike the Bienvenues where I have at least had some lovely bottles along with some oxidized examples, I have yet to encounter a good bottle of the Bbtard. Indeed, a magnum just opened was also very disappointing with unduly advanced aromas and a lack of freshness." BH
