This booklet was a gift from Björk to the venodr's aunt, Engle Cathrine Lund, the Icelandic folk singer. In the mid-1930s she published a collection of songs Folk Songs From Many Countries and in 1960 she started teaching at the Iceland Conservatoire, where she later met Björk.
