An illustrated souvenir concert programme The Helen Shapiro Show, 1963, signed inside in blue ballpoint pen and blue ink next to their photograph by all four Beatles, the page additionally inscribed in McCartney's hand To Margaret; the programme also signed by Kenny Lynch, Danny Williams, the compere Dave Allen and on the cover by Helen Shapiro

Lot Essay

According to the vendor, these signatures were acquired backstage after the show at the Regal Cinema, Wakefield on Thursday, 7th February, 1963. This, the first leg of Helen Shapiro's British tour, is considered to be The Beatles' first official tour. They started on 2nd January, leaving the tour on 9th February to record Please Please Me at EMI, which they did in one day, on 11th February.
