Paul McCartney
An autograph airmail letter, signed, written from an address in Santa Monica, California, on Pan American In Flight Air Letter stationery, the envelope frankmarked 3 Apr 1971, from Paul McCartney to Gordon House telling him....I want to reproduce, reprint, a set of Rupert annuals....I have a set in Scotland, which it could be done from, or the original plates (Daily Express) would be best. Ignore that remark - they were burnt in a famous fire sometime...I would be needing say 100 full sets, i.e. from 1940...., signed Thanks, Paul, 1p.
注意事項
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium, which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.

Paul McCartney has a long-standing interest in animation as an art form and wanted to produce an animated feature starring Rupert the Bear, which never came to fruition, but he did make an animated short, Rupert And The Frog Song which was released theatrically as an accompaniment to his live action feature Give My Regards To Broadstreet. Rupert And The Frog Song won a BAFTA for Best Animated Short, and the single We All Stand Together went to number three in the British singles charts.
