AN ASSEMBLED PAIR OF WHITE-PAINTED CAST IRON SETTEES,
probably New York, late 19th century,
each with foliate and scroll pierced crestrail peeking at center above a tripartite panelled back pierced with foliate and scroll motifs continuing into scrolled arms and arm supports over clover pierced seat and conforming pierced skirt; the first, on back curved legs on scrolled feet, stamped on back "PAT MAY 7, 1895;" the second, on similarly pierced with foliate and scroll motifs, on rod legs with clover feet stamped on back "JOHN McLEAN N.Y." and "PAT JULY 17, 189(?)4"--40in. high, 43in., 15 in. deep; 38 in. high, 43in. wide, 15in. deep (2)
