The present watercolour has been identified as the Noah's Ark Inn in Frilford, Berkshire. It is thought that the ferry in the foreground is the Twickenham Ferry that crossed between the White Cross Inn on Twickenham Bank and Eel Pie Island, named after the famous eel pies served there. (Rowlandson executed a watercolour of the popular resort with tourists arriving in assorted boats).
