The central circular-cut citrine with scalloped rim to the Greek key pattern multi-coloured agate border, mounted in gold, circa 1870, 4.7 cm. wide, in blue velvet case, the silk lining stamped 'The Royal College of Science and Technology Glasgow. 31st. May 1962'

Lot Essay

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the awarding of the Royal Warrant to the Royal College of Science and Technology in Glasgow, H.R.H. The Princess Margaret visited the college on 31st May 1962, following the visit of H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh the previous year.
