Leonardo Ginori Lisci, nel suo fondamentale studio sulla Porcellana di Doccia (pag. 104) menziona come appartenenti agli anni 1820 alcune tazzine e piattini sottilissimi "a guscio d'uovo" che sono una dimostrazione della perfezione tecnica raggiunta a Doccia in quel tempo.
