The shells of slightly variant shape, both painted by the same hand with a bird perched on a rock issuing flowering branches, 4.5/8in. (11.8cm.) wide; the bowl with sharply sloping sides, painted with flower sprays issuing from a gnarled root, the interior with similar sprays, 4in. (10.8cm.) diam. (3)
