THREE COPPER-LUSTRE CREAM-JUGS AND A YELLOW-GROUND SILVER RESIST CREAM- JUG
First quarter 19th century
The largest jug moulded with an ox and a greyhound flanking a basket of flowers on stand, 6in. (15.5cm.) high; the second moulded with a band of beaded rinceau reserved on the sky-blue neck, a wide reeded band below, 4in. (12cm.) high; the third sprigged with a grape-vine and with vignettes of Bacchic putti, a hunting dog and lovers, an urn issuing flowering cornucopaie, 3in. (9cm.); the neck of the yellow-ground jug reserved with a rinceau, the body with flowering scrolls, 4in. (12.1cm.) (4)
