A verre eglomise barometer for the North German Lloyd
circa 1905
the background in black and gold with an inset image of the S.S. Kaiser Wilhelm II in color with gold swags dropping down and decorating the circular inset aneroid barometer on either side. The barometer marked "Storm-Rain-Change-Fair-Very Dry" and with the numerical pressure range. At the bottom is inscribed "North German Lloyd/New York-London-Paris-Bremen/Italy, the Levant, Egypt,/East Asia, Australia", the lettering in gold and platinum. Mounted within a black painted wood box. For the American market.
