The enamels French, circa 1650, the mounts probably German, circa 1730
Circular box incorporating two enamel watch case covers, one with the Judgement of Paris, the independent cover depicting Mercury bringing the three goddesses to Paris, within a border chased with husks and foliage on a matted ground, the base depicting Paris awarding the golden apple to Venus with Cupid, Juno and Minerva in attendance, both painted on the inside with landscapes
2¼ in. (58 mm.) diam.
