Cast and chased with overlapping scalework and bands of matting, with a central patera on matted ground within a ribbon-and-tie surround, the reverse of the bowl with bands of engraving and scrolls, the back of the handle with a central lion's mask within a ribbon-and-tie surround, marked on back of bowl, the handle marked with later marks
