Oval and with pierced sides and a rocaille, foliage and flower border, the overhead swing handle with bust terminals, later engraved with a coat-of-arms, the handle engraved with a crest, marked on side and handle

The arms are those of Hoare impaling Drake, quartering Tyrwhitt, for Hugh Richard Hoare (1787-1857) of Lillingstone, co. Buckingham, later 4th Bt., who married Anne, daughter of Thomas Tyrwhitt Drake (d. 1810) of Shardeloes.
