LONDON, 1581, MAKER'S MARK GA
Slightly tapering cylindrical on domed circular foot and with moulded ribs, the hinged domed cover and scroll handle with cast cartouche thumbpiece, finial lacking, engraved and chased with strapwork, fruit and flowers, the body later engraved with presentation inscription and date, marked on base and cover
7 in. (17.7 cm.) high
16 oz. (522 gr.)
The inscription reads, 'Ex Dono Tho= Humffreyes 1692'
