A FINE AND VERY RARE PEACHBLOOM-TYPE GLAZED VASE, MEIPING
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE-CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

Well-potted with high shoulder below a short waisted neck, tapering elegantly towards the slightly flared foot, covered in a translucent peachbloom-type glaze thinning to a very pale green at the shoulder and neck, the interior and base glazed white

Lot Essay

The glaze on the present vase is reminiscent of the peachbloom-glaze that was first developed in the Kangxi period, and appeared on a number of scholar's objects collectively known as the Badama.
