Lot Essay

The present enamelled plaque appears to be unique. It is interesting to note that the pattern and shape of the vase depicted is almost identical to a Qianlong-marked vase, sold in our London Rooms, 26 February 1973, lot 126; and sold again at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 2 May 2000, lot 643.
