A BLUE AND YELLOW 'DRAGON' DISH
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

Well painted and enamelled on the centre of the dish with a yellow dragon leaping amidst flames and scrolling clouds in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', all against an underglaze-blue ground, the cavetto and exterior sides similarly decorated with pairs of striding dragons
9 7/8 in. (25.1 cm.) diam.
