A FINE YELLOW JADE DOG
LATE MING/EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
Finely carved in the round as a recumbent dog detailed with large eyes under bushy brows and a high upturned snout, its head turned back over its rotund body with ridged spine, the curly tail well combed, worked from stone of a rich yellow tone with amber inclusions
