The serpentined rectangular top with canted corners above a central frieze drawer with curved apron below, a short drawer and long drawer on the left, the deep drawers inlaid with boxwood and ebonised lines, the right hand drawer a deep bottle holder with original lead divisions, on faceted tapering legs, the handles original, later backboard

Almost identical handles appear on a Sheraton inlaid and decorated satinwood cabinet from the family of Sir Richard Arkwright, illustrated in F. Lewis Hinckley, Hepplewhite, Sheraton & Regency Furniture, New York, 1987, p. 225, plate 191.
