A LARGE ROMAN GLASS JUG
CIRCA 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
Pale green-blue in color but for a streak of aubergine near the base, mold-blown, the tall body square in section, the cylindrical neck with the rim folded out then in, the wide strap handle dropped onto the shoulder, drawn up, bent sharply in and attached to the upper neck, the underside with raised concentric circles framed by small circles at each corner
