CLASSICAL PERIOD, CIRCA LATE 5TH-EARLY 4TH CENTURY B.C.
The ovoid body of hammered sheet, with broad shoulders and a slightly concave neck, the lower portion repaired in antiquity, the older vessel fitted into a new base, its upper edge finished with a serrated edge, the separately-cast overhanging rim with ovolo beneath beading, the twin horizontal handles and the single vertical handle each with plain circular plates
