The disk and handle cast in one piece, the disk plain but for a dotted border on the obverse, the tapering handle centered by a nude female figure in shallow relief serving as a caryatid, her hands raised above her head, the handle with flanking rosettes at the merge with the disk, the circular terminal with a sphinx in profile to the right, the caryatid and sphinx framed by a scalloped border, the handle with a horizontal break repaired in antiquity by a section of bronze sheet attached on the reverse by four rivets
