A 16th century gold and garnet ring
The single cabochon garnet in closed quatrefoil bezel, with engraved decoration between chased and engraved shoulders, probably formerly enamelled, circa 1550, finger size - I 1/2, hoop slightly mis-shapen.
Provenance
Found at Brockford, Suffolk.
