The oval cameo depicting Phoebus-Apollo and four prancing horses, with scratched signature to reverse Michelini, No 1, 1840, within gold engraved surround with knotted border, in fitted case

Further details
Michelini was a sculptur and gem-engraver from Rome who later settled in France. This scene is possibly after a cameo by Tomasso Saulini (1793-1864)
