Literature
Coretan rasa (Inscriptions of my heart) is perhaps reminiscent of a dialogue with God, revealing the unsaid feelings that are etched quietly in our hearts. The communication between God and man may be direct but it is also very difficult to decipher and comprehend. The intensity of these emotions is seemingly expressed through the large scrawls which look almost frustrated in their markings against a gloomy grey background, only lightened by sporadically shaded blushes of colour, perhaps indicative of the positive moments shared with the higher being. The mood is uplifted by the pink strip of colour across the top of the work, softening the edge in the rough writing and in turn alleviating this affecting ache that seems to be the relationship between God and man.
