A GEORGE III MAHOGANY ARCHITECT'S DESK
LATE 18TH CENTURY
With a double-ratcheted top above a fitted frieze drawer, the lock stamped 'I BRAMAH, PATENT' and a crown with leather-lined writing-surface and lidded compartments, each with an oval inlaid with letters of the alphabet, above a kneehole flanked on each side by three short graduated drawers, the reverse with five simulated drawers above a pair of panels, on a plinth base
