222 x 160mm. 14 vellum and 1 paper leaves, COMPLETE, written in brown ink, title and rubrics in gold; Rules for the Confraternity of the Crucifix, Anguillara, written in the lifetime of Virginio Orsini, comte d'Anguillara (d.1548), with added indulgence and obligations and signed episcopal confirmations of 1614, 1620, 1692, 1744 and 1759. IN A RICHLY GILT CONTEMPORARY BINDING; gold-tooled morocco, central medallions on both covers, upper cover with Christ on the cross in a surround of sun-beams, lower cover with the Madonna and child in a surround of stars, both tooled to a panel with Ionic capitals and a pattern of rectangular fields with scrolls and a variety of ornaments including stars, crescent moons and diadems, in a trellis border with reserved ovals (lacking ties, upper fore-corners rubbed).
