EINSTEIN, Albert (1879-1955). Two autograph postcards signed ('Papa' and 'Papa bzw. Albert'), the first to his sons Hans Albert and Eduard, [Zurich, 6 April 1916], announcing his arrival for his disastrous Easter visit to Zurich, giving his address and inviting his sons to see him the following morning; the second to his wife Mileva and eldest son Hans Albert, [Zurich], postmarked 10 January [1919] (incorrectly dated 12 January by Einstein), writing two hours before his departure from Zurich to say that when Hans Albert came unsuccessfully to look for him the day before he was actually at home; he promises to bring 'the rare bird food' with him on his next visit to Zurich; in the meantime, he try to spend a couple of days with [his younger son] Eduard in Arosa [where he was being treated in a sanitorium]; together 2 pages, 8vo.
