A study, with minor differences, for the altarpiece commissioned in 1640 by Antoine Baratier, Conseiller du Roi, to Mignard for the chapel of the Annunciation in the Cathedral of Viviers, A. Schnapper, Mignard d'Avignon, exhib. cat., Palais des Papes, Avignon, 1979, no. 21. The picture was painted in 1642.
