carved as a standing sculpture, small men to his feet with ladders and barrels helping to paint the fierce expressioned guardian - 6¼in. (15.9cm) high; five further ivory okimonos variously carved as a female figure carrying a feathered cloak, signed; two crane groups; a couple washing laundry, signed; a large sectional shell collector. (6)
