A pair of Japanese Shibiyama style sectional ivory tusks, 19th century, with later wooden stands
each onlaid with mother of pearl, stained ivory, coral and tortoiseshell, the bodies variously decorated with a duck standing on rockwork and one swimming in a pond, a flower basket on a stand and one hanging from a prunus tree, all amidst birds and butterflies, signed, with pierced wooden stands -- the tusks 12¼in. (31.1cm.) high (2)
