A Japanese blue and white vase and cover, 19th century
of baluster form, moulded in low relief with two fierce dragons reserved in white against a crackled ice ground with scattered mon, plum blossom, lozenge and round shaped cartouches enclosing birds perched on bamboo and prunus, between bands of stylised lappets, whirls and chrysanthemum scroll, the domed knopped cover similarly decorated -- 24 7/8in. (63.2cm.) high.
