FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Hoover on the front free endpaper.: "To H. Kauti With the good wishes of Herbert Hoover." LIMITED EDITION, one of 3000 copies printed. Herbert Hoover was a mining engineer before entering politics and becoming the thirty-first President of the United States. His wife, and the future First Lady, was a former Latin teacher and translator of this edition. Hoover 28; Norman 21.
