A fine copy of this treatise on privateering and its legal aspects. There were three editions published in 1746, for which no priority is known. One was printed at Cadiz, another at Madrid and this third without imprint. Palau attributes this to the printer A. de Barreda of Seville. "This valuable work, which is much less known in this country than it deserves to be was translated into French and published in... Paris in 1753 [where Abreu was Spanish ambassador at the time]" (McCulloch p. 127). Goldsmiths 8215; Palau 1009.
